In this paper, partially fluorinated aromatic polymers containing pendent ammonium head groups and styrene-based cross-linking structure were developed for anion conductive ionomer membranes. The resulting membranes exhibited high hydroxide ion conductivity, alkaline stability, and mechanical strength, suitable for electrolyte membranes in alkaline water electrolyzers.
