ECCEED ’30 & ’40-FC Project Kick-off meeting held

October 12, 2020

Launch of material research and development project represented by our university for the realization of the Hydrogen Society

The ECCEED ’30 & ’40-FC Project Kick-meeting was held at the Fuel Cell Nanomaterials Center University of Yamanashi October 9, 2020 (Friday), with the industry-academia collaboration team※ involved in “Common problem-solving industry-academia-government collaborative research and development project for the dramatic expansion of the use of fuel cells, etc.” adopted by the National Research and Development Corporation New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO).

At the beginning of the meeting, the project leader (PL) of this NEDO project as a whole and the NEDO person in charge of this research theme gave greetings with high expectations, followed by introductions of each research institution and confirmation of the overall outline, etc.. About 35 researchers from the 11 institutions exchanged greetings. In this project, ① “Research and development project for innovative materials that realize high efficiency, high output, and high durability PEFC” (ECCEED ’30-FC), ② “Creation of advanced material concepts that realize wide temperature and humidity operation PEFC” (ECCEED ’40-FC); these projects will develop technologies for improving the performance and cost of fuel cell systems, etc., and put them into practical use by around 2035 (ECCEED ’30-FC) and from 2035 to 2040 (ECCEED ’40-FC).
